Prolonged Woodland Ferry closure for Coast Guard inspection

SEAFORD – The Delaware Department of Transportation on Friday announced the Woodland Ferry will be closed for the U.S. Coast Guard’s 5-year mandatory maintenance inspection starting on Friday, May 10.

It will tentatively reopen on July 29.

The ferry transports vehicle and foot passengers between Seaford and Laurel, as well as traffic from nearby Bethel, Blades and Galesville, Maryland.
