Bluesuiters Golf Tournament coming up May 9 in Magnolia

MAGNOLIA — The Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for its highly anticipated annual Bluesuiters Golf Tournament on May 9 at Jonathan’s Landing, 1309 Ponderosa Drive.

This annual event — which pairs golf enthusiasts, Dover Air Force Base airmen and business professionals from across the region — promises a day of friendly competition, networking opportunities, prizes, food and beverages.

The tournament is a reputable competition, known for its blend of business professionals and military personnel, as well as golfers of all levels. It provides a platform for local businesses to showcase support for the community and the air base, while enjoying a day on the greens. DAFB is such an integral part of what makes central Delaware the tight-knit, historic hometown that residents and visitors love. A gathering like the Bluesuiters Golf Tournament is just one way the chamber honors and fosters this relationship. We’re proud to be a part of Team Dover.

Participants can expect a fun-filled day, starting with registration at 9 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at 10. From there, groups of two airmen and two business professionals will golf the fairways of Jonathan’s Landing, showcasing their skills. Golfers will have the opportunity to engage in friendly competition and network with fellow participants. The event’s format encourages collaboration, fostering new connections and strengthening existing relationships in central Delaware. Following the tournament, participants will gather for dinner and an awards ceremony in the clubhouse. Prizes will be awarded for various categories, and there will be raffles and door prizes.

The chamber would like to especially thank the tournament’s sponsor, MiMutual Mortgage, for making this event possible again this year.

Thank you to the golf ball drop sponsor: Burke Equipment Co.

Thank you to our driving range sponsors: Residence Inn Dover.

Thank you, cart sponsors: Independent Metal Strap Co., Leander Lakes, Pinnacle Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, UNITED Church and Wilmington University.

Thank you to the beverage sponsors: N.K.S. Distributors and Pepsi Bottling Ventures of Delmarva.

And finally, thanks to the lunch sponsor: Delaware Municipal Electric Corp.

We’d also like to take a moment to show our gratitude to our hosts at Jonathan’s Landing. The chamber values their support and accommodation greatly.

The tournament is a wonderful way to get involved with your local community and provide support for our airmen. The CDCC appreciates your support in making this year’s contest unforgettable!
